Job Summary: The Junior System Administrator – Microsoft 365 provides day-to-day support and administration of the organization’s Microsoft 365 environments. This entry-level role reports to the IT Operations Manager and focuses on MS365 tenant migration activities, user account management, troubleshooting, and basic system administration while gaining hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services and Microsoft Intune. Working under the guidance of the Portfolio IT and Data Security leadership team, the Junior System Administrator helps ensure reliable and secure collaboration tools for the businesses in the Portfolio.Job Description:Key ResponsibilitiesMS365 MigrationsAssist with discovery of source objects to be migrated and mapped to the destination CSV filePerform migration tasks and monitor successful completion of migrationsSupport post-migration activitiesUser Support & TroubleshootingProvide first- and second-level support for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).Assist with password resets, account lockouts, and basic access issues in Azure Active Directory via OktaTroubleshoot email, calendar, and collaboration tool issues.Administration TasksCreate, modify, and disable user accounts, groups, and distribution lists.Assist with license assignment and tracking.Support device and application management through Microsoft Intune (device enrollment, compliance checks).Configuration & MaintenancePerform routine checks on Microsoft 365 services and system health.Ensure security policies such as MFA, password policies, and conditional access are in place.Support updates and patching of managed devices via Intune.Documentation & TrainingMaintain accurate records of configurations, processes, and support tickets.Contribute to user guides and knowledge base articles.Provide basic training to end-users on Microsoft 365 applications and features.Collaboration & GrowthWork with senior administrators on Microsoft 365 and Intune projects.Learn and apply best practices for Microsoft 365 security and compliance.Stay current with new Microsoft 365 features and updates.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceDiploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.1–2 years of IT support experience (help desk, service desk, or system support).Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).Exposure to Microsoft Intune or mobile device management tools (preferred but not required).Technical SkillsBasic understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD.Familiarity with email, collaboration, and file-sharing tools.Willingness to learn PowerShell for administration tasks.Knowledge of basic networking and security principles.Soft SkillsStrong customer service and communication skills.Detail-oriented with good documentation practices.Eagerness to learn and grow in Microsoft 365 administration.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have)Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900)Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100/MD-101)CompTIA A+ or Network+Worker Type: RegularNumber of Openings Available: 1
