System/Network Administrator - Contract

- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Respond to queries either in person, over the phone or using remote access tools
- Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions across North America
- Maintain and support Plant label computers, printers, and R/F devices on the manufacturing /warehouse floor
- Write training manuals / Train computer users
- Leads desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications
- Workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Respond to email messages for end users seeking help
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), VPN and other systems
- Maintain user profiles in Linux, QAD, Freedom, and Windows as required
- Supports monthly data extraction and transfer to parent companies
- Manage Telecommunications (Phone/Cell/Internet)
- Ensures compliance with internal procedures and makes recommendations as appropriate with reference to information technology.
- Recommends I.T. related purchases
- Supports the IT Supervisor and Director of Finance with related projects as directed
- 5+ years working knowledge of virtualization, Nutanix, VMWare, or equivalent
- 5+ years working knowledge of M365, Active Directory, Exchange and Office 365, systems and networking software, hardware and networking protocols
- Basic Linux/Unix Skills is an asset
- Experience with scripting in a variety of languages and automation tools; PowerShell
- Strong knowledge and ability to prioritize tasks and IT operations following best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection and disaster recovery protocols
- Excellent Communication Skills - Bilingual in SPANISH is an asset
- 12-month contract, potential for FTE
