- Establish partnerships with employers to enable multiple placement opportunities for clients.
- Conduct employer outreach activities such as cold calls, emails, worksite visits and informational meetings with potential employer partners based on our business development model.
- Promote overall services Prospect offers to Employers, including direct connection to candidates, hiring events, employer education events, and training.
- Work closely with Workforce Advisor team to assist in planning and conducting Job Fairs and other Delivery events (i.e., search venues, select speakers, coordinate accessibility requirements, build marketing material, utilize social media and community partners, as well as other event logistics. Work with employers to address workforce shortfalls by educating them on how to access, recruit and retain skilled labour within and outside of traditional labour pools.
- Represent Prospect at career fairs, trade shows, hiring events, and other events as required.
- Work in partnership with program staff to secure employment opportunities for candidates from a variety of demographics.
- Work closely with Career Advisor teams to identify candidate needs, job targets and skill sets to help inform new employer partner outreach.
- Reach out to existing employer partners to understand current opportunities available and match candidates to those needs
- Assess potential employer partners for suitability through research centered around job availability and alignment with client skills, qualifications and goals.
- Maintains accurate and up to date information in the CRM database of employers including notes on service delivery, and expected next steps for accurate reporting, as required.
- As needed, participate in client facing services such as workshops, essential skill building, and job clubs.
- Complies with company policies/procedures, provincial, privacy and other job related legislation.
- Champions Prospect’s goals, vision, mission and brand pillars.
- Post-secondary education is an asset (an equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered).
- Previous experience in sales/marketing, business development, human resources, recruitment, and high level customer service are all considered assets to this role
- Understanding of current workforce development needs and labour market trends.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel); previous experience in other sales applications (CRM, record keeping) are considered assets.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively connect and build rapport with business.
- A desire for continually developing knowledge and familiarity with the Alberta labour market.
- Comfortable with internet research, social media applications, various presentation software/programs and related presentation equipment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to present ideas and/or services to individuals and groups.
- Knowledge of working with underrepresented groups, including people with disabilities, mental health barriers, newcomers, and youth.
- Exposure to diversity and inclusion programs is an asset.
- All employees must pass a background check.
- Must have a drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- All employees must be flexible to work on-site as well as remotely, based on position and program requirements.
