- Support participant recruitment and screening.
- Conduct intake assessments to identify employment goals, skills, barriers, and support needs
- Develop and regularly update Individual Action Plans (IAPs)
- Make referrals to community services, to help reduce barriers to employment, including childcare and mental health referrals
- Orient participants to program expectations, training structure, and available supports
- Facilitate group learning using adult education principles and trauma-informed practice
- Develop classroom and theory-based modules
- Teach participants the classroom curriculum
- Maintain accurate program files, attendance records, and case documentation
- Prepare reports, data summaries, program updates, and correspondence as required
- Track employment readiness progress, referrals and employment outcomes
- Contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement
- Coordinate communications with participants, partners, and internal teams
- Contribute to an inclusive, respectful and supportive work environment
- Participate in case conferences, and team meetings
- Implement and maintain data tracking, reporting, and case management systems
- Learn, use, and support staff with the government client management system
- Regular interaction with staff, clients, employers, and community partners.
- Occasional evenings and weekends based on program events or participant needs.
- Provide one-on-one employment readiness coaching tailored to the unique needs of each mother
- Support participants with job search strategies, résumé development, interview preparation, and workplace readiness
- Assist participants in balancing employment goals with caregiving responsibilities and family well-being
- Monitor participant progress, document outcomes and provide follow up after employment placement
- Provide person centred employment counselling
- Deliver job search assistance, résumé and cover letter development, career exploration, and interview preparation
- Monitor participant progress and adjust supports as needed
- Train new participants and supervise Work-Based Learning (WBL) placements.
- Track participant progress, troubleshoot performance issues, and support program reporting
- Prepare reports in alignment with funder and agency requirements
- Satisfactory Police Information including Vulnerable sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check
- A reliable vehicle, vehicle registration and third-party liability insurance (two million)
- Driver's Abstract with less than (6) demerit points current within one (1) year
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with at least two years of Canadian driving experience.
- The compensation for this position ranges from $55,134.89- $58,479.03 annually and is based on qualifications and experience.
