Business Analyst, Finance - Contract - 18383About the OpportunityOur client located in Ottawa, is looking for a Business Analyst to support their digital transformation initiative. This position plays a key role in implementing a unified, cloud-based ERP solution and aligning business processes across Finance and other corporate services functions.
The successful candidate will act as a bridge between stakeholders, IT, and external vendors to translate business needs into scalable, systems-based solutions. This role involves critical analysis, process harmonization, and supporting ERP-related enhancements and implementations.Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Analyze current and future-state business processes and document operational needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to harmonize and standardize workflows
  • Ensure ERP and integrated system solutions meet business and reporting requirements
  • Support system testing, documentation, and end-user training
  • Drive change management and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Provide post-implementation support, including troubleshooting and optimization
  • Prepare business cases for process changes using data-driven insights
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT
About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance function, ideally in a large, complex environment
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards and internal controls
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce/Accounting with a specialization in Computer Applications (or equivalent)
  • CPA is an asset
