
Senior Payroll Specialist - Permanent

- Ensure accurate and timely semi-monthly high volume payroll processing while maximizing efficiencies, maintaining operational standards and adhering to department policies and procedures
- Administer and reconcile Benefits and Pension plans, record subsequent remittances
- Process WSIB & EHT remittances, CRA source deductions
- Reconcile Payroll accounts, working closely with the GL and appropriate Balance Sheets
- Input changes to employee payroll records maintained in the payroll system
- Process terminations/ROEs, T4s
- Participate in Payroll Budgeting and provide guidance and suggestions to senior management
- Keep up to date with payroll best practices and legislative changes
- Conduct other payroll and finance duties as required
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Designation, Active in Good Standing is a strong asset
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- National payroll would be a strong asset
- Strong technical skills, ability to learn new software
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize
- Excellent communication skills- written, oral, comprehension
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
- Understanding & application of strict confidentiality
