Perform assigned tasks in technical/engineering disciplines e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering in the Systems Engineering field related to the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Project. Specifically, the Systems Engineering (SE) Cross Product Team (CPT) involved in general coordination and engineering process management.The candidate will participate in engineering activities including but not limited to:
  • Developing and owning engineering processes
  • Working with technical risk owners to develop handling plans
  • Coordinating the capture of evidence for Design Review Gates
  • Applying the fundamentals of systems engineering and updating the systems engineering management plan
What you bring to the role
  • Current student in an STEM program.
  • Working knowledge of MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Aptitude for working well in teams.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Results-oriented self-starter attitude.
  • Eligibility for NATO Secret clearance.
Additional skills desired for the role
  • 8+ Month availability desired
  • IBM Doors experience
  • Active NATO Secret Security Clearance
  • Agile process experience ideally using JIRA
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience with Visio
  • Experience in Agile development

Language Requirements in QuebecKnowledge of the English language is required for this role as the position described in this posting requires the candidate to communicate every day with a virtual team outside Quebec as well as communicate with different members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside of Canada.
