- Provide advisory support to managers on employee and labour relations matters, including performance management, salary administration, and the interpretation and application of HR policies, programs, and provincial and federal legislation.
- Support disability management programs by working collaboratively with managers, employees on leave, and insurance providers to facilitate effective case management and graduated return-to-work plans for both work-related and non-work-related absences.
- Advise and support managers on union and labour relations activities, including grievance prevention and resolution, and participate in collective bargaining processes.
- Guide and educate managers on compensation administration to ensure practices are equitable and aligned with the organization's compensation philosophy.
- Lead the annual performance management cycle, including coaching and training managers to ensure consistency and effectiveness, and support annual salary review and bonus processes.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for salaried and management roles.
- Deliver training and ongoing support to managers on HR processes, policies, and new initiatives
- Participate in or lead HR Advisory team projects and initiatives as assigned.
- A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive HR experience, including advisory support and demonstrated expertise in employee and labour relations and disability management.
- At least two years of HR experience in a leadership or management capacity.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing complex initiatives and improving HR processes.
- Strong ability to present information and facilitate training for groups of varying sizes and levels of experience; exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to travel frequently across Canada and possession of a valid driver's license.
- Experience in full-cycle labour relations, including collective agreement administration, grievance resolution, arbitration preparation, and negotiation support, considered an asset.
