Here, you will make an impact by:Provide mechanical support for manufacturing operations.Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, as well as equipment installation and commissioning.General fabrication, including welding and cutting.Operate and maintain stationary equipment (air compressors and driers, boilers, chillers)Identify, recommend, and implement ideas in the manufacturing area of responsibility to improve:Process safety and health performance with the reduction of overall risk to the factoryProduct cost, service, and qualityEnvironmental performance with emphasis on waste reductionEquipment reliabilityYour Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Industrial Millwright license or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Three (3) years combined (academic or industry) experience.Current and valid Driver’s License.Available for on-call after hours and weekend supportMust reside in CanadaAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Effective "Hands On" techniquesAbility to analyze, problem solve and implement solutionsExcellent computer skills - Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint and ProjectInnovation skills to generate new ideas or alternative solutionsWorks well on cross-functional teams in a continuous improvement (LEAN) environmentExcellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWork location: Onsite – Perth, ONTravel: May include up to 5% of travel, which may involve overnight stays.Relocation Assistance: Not AuthorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
