Our core values — Sense of Community, Inclusiveness, Creativity, and Making a Difference — will ignite your passion and inspire you to reach new professional heights.Get ready to embark on a truly rewarding career where your impact will help shape a better, brighter future!The Opportunity:The Supply Teacher will be responsible for providing classroom coverage on an as-needed basis in the Junior School, assisting with supervision, co-curriculars, and implementing the program within the classroom as assigned.Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Create and contribute to a classroom environment that inspires and supports learning and personal growth through a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lens;Establish supportive rapport with students and colleagues;Motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a strongfoundation for further education in accordance with each student's ability;Deliver lessons that allow for differentiated learning for all students, as assigned by the teacher;Use relevant technology to support instruction;Supervise students during lessons, at recess and lunch or as assigned;Demonstrate a flexible, responsive approach to teaching and learning.Candidate Profile:Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution;Ontario College of Teachers certification or equivalent degree with Primary/Junior qualifications and a minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience;Specialty in French, Physical Education, and/or Music is an asset;Experience with and knowledge of IB is an asset;Proven ability to build a caring rapport with students;Knowledge of relevant technology; able to work effectively in an iPad and MacBook environment using required applications;Strong oral and written communication skills;Strong commitment to duty of care;Able to work independently with minimal supervision;Accountable and responsible, is self-motivated, and shows strong initiative;Maintains a positive attitude and a calm, professional demeanour;Alignment with Branksome Hall’s mission, vision and values.Why Join Branksome Hall:At Branksome Hall, you’ll join a highly collaborative and stimulating environment.
