In your application, please specify the teaching specialty or focus you would like to be considered for.With strong communication skills and a proven ability to build a caring rapport with students, the successful candidates will join the Senior and Middle School team and report to their respective Instructional Leader.Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Create and contribute to a classroom environment that inspires and supports learning and personal growth through a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lens;Establish supportive rapport with students and colleagues;Motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed for further education in accordance with each student's ability;Deliver lessons that allow for differentiated learning for all students, as assigned by the teacher;Use relevant technology to support instruction;Supervise students during lessons, and outside of the classroom as assigned;Demonstrate a flexible, responsive approach to teaching and learning.Candidate Profile:Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution relative to your teaching subject;Ontario Teacher Qualifications in Intermediate or Senior division with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience;IB teaching experience is considered an asset;Knowledge of relevant technology and able to work in a laptop environment;Strong oral and written communication skills;Strong commitment to duty of care;Able to work independently with minimal supervision;Accountable and responsible, is self-motivated, and shows strong initiative;Maintains a positive attitude and a calm, professional demeanour;Alignment with Branksome Hall’s mission, vision and values.Why Join Branksome Hall:Joining Branksome Hall will change your life.
