Innovation is our driving force, propelling us into the future of aviation.Join us and be a part of a team that lives and breathes these values every day!SummaryReporting to the Vice President IT, the Application Developer is responsible for the development of applications in the JDE 9.2 environment as well as resolving day-to-day technical issues and providing functional support and maintenance of application in JD Edwards 9.2 environment as well as related third-party software and integration. The incumbent is also responsible for providing training, guidance, and immediate support to all users in all locations of the company.Responsibilities
  • Responding to end-user support requests and issues, analyzing errors and discrepancies in systems and processes, providing resolutions or making recommendation, and configuring and modifying configuration parameters and system processes based on user needs
  • Development and maintenance of reporting systems to make operational and business intelligence data accessible to users, as needed or on schedule and support complex ad-hoc queries to support short-term information needs.
  • Strong to expert knowledge of the JDE development environment - JDE 9.2 - is an asset.
  • Gather system specifications from users
  • Responding to end-user support requests and issues
  • Analyze errors and discrepancies in systems and processes
  • Provide resolutions and/or recommendations, configure, and modify configuration parameters and system processes based on user needs.
  • Develop process flow models to provide a clear understanding of existing business processes and system interactions as well as changes to support process improvement and meet corporate objectives
  • Design and implementation of automation process to improve operational efficiency
  • Create and execute test plans to validate correctness of information systems solutions and ensure that all business requirements have been sufficiently met
  • Develop and deliver related end-user training materials in accordance with organizational standards
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems to make operational and business intelligence data accessible to users, as required or on-schedule and support complex ad-hoc queries to support short-term information needs
Requirements
  • University Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Has held a similar role in related field for a minimum of 7 years, ideally 10+ years' experience
  • Solid experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 technical foundation tools and CNC functionality.
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining JD Edwards Enterprise One Financial (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets), procurement, inventory management, and work order management models
  • Knowledge of complex application development and system support
  • Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical languages as well as ability to present issues to management team in professional and informative manner
  • Strong analytical skills and writing skills (documentation)
  • Ability to quickly grasp, articulate and document complicated business and technical issues
  • Ability to work closely in a team environment with both business users and developers, as well as independently, with changing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Kronos (UKG), time management expertise, an asset
  • Experience working in an ERP environment would be considered an asset
  • Experience developing is MS Visual Studio would be an asset
