- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data governance and management frameworks to ensure data accuracy, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to establish data standards, policies, and procedures that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee data compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead data quality initiatives to improve the reliability and value of data assets.
- Facilitate data governance committees and provide training to staff on data handling best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between various technology and business stakeholders to support data analytics and strategy development.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data architecture, business intelligence, or related fields in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Canadian data protection legislation, including Law 25, PIPEDA, and CASL and demonstrated implementation of data compliance measures in and enterprise organization.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic focus on leveraging data for business growth.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience in mentoring teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
