Job #4997 - Elevate your career by joining a stable and well-respected employer as their Senior Accountant, where you will play a key role in contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will oversee a real estate portfolio that includes multiple commercial buildings and residential units, managing complex financial activities such as insurance, mortgages, intercompany transactions, month-end duties, budgeting, planning, internal controls and in-depth financial analysis to help identify opportunities for enhanced financial performance. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, results-driven professional with a proven track record in accounting and financial management. Main responsibilities include:

Manage daily financial operations, including payments, bank reconciliations, and property-related finances.
Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, supporting budgeting, planning, and financial analysis.
Maintain internal controls, assist with audits and tax compliance, and safeguard company assets.
Collaborate with colleagues from different departments to contribute financial expertise and mentor junior team members.
Support month-end and year-end close processes and other finance initiatives as needed.

Completed CPA designation or in progress is preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and reporting
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Proficient in Excel
