The Headhunters is a leading Canadian recruitment firm specializing in professional search and workforce advisory services.We partner with organizations across Canada to deliver tailored workforce strategies, compensation insights, and talent solutions that drive business performance that business success.As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Employment Adviser - Human Resources to support our clients and internal teams with recruitment strategy, workforce planning, and HR advisory services.Job Responsibilities:
  • Advise employers and employees on compensation structures and labor market trends
  • Research and prepare job descriptions, salary scales, and competency frameworks, including identifying relevant certifications, designations, and evolving skill requirements across industries
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate recruitment and staffing strategies
  • Contribute to staffing programs, compensation planning, and employee development initiatives by providing market insight and recruitment expertise
  • Maintain and update recruitment systems and databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data privacy standards
  • Recruit, interview, and place candidates, supporting onboarding and ensuring alignment with client expectations and performance feedback.
  • Provide guidance to senior management on workforce trends, hiring strategies, and organizational gaps
  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns, job postings, and talent sourcing initiatives
  • Prepare reports and analysis on hiring activity, compensation trends, and workforce metrics
  • Attended and represented the organization at networking events and job fairs to source talent and expand professional networks
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and internal procedures
  • Support hiring success by gathering feedback, monitoring employee progress, and helping to ensure successful company integration
The successful candidate has:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related recruitment certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business and recruitment, with expertise in compensation structures, workforce planning, employment practices, and talent acquisition strategies
  • Experience with compensation and job evaluation
  • Strong advisory and consultative skills in HR and recruitment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Client-focused with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, or other ERP databases
  • Comfortable working with data and reporting
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $103,000pa – $105,000pa depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
