Job Description:An established industry leader in fire protection is seeking a HR Generalist & Payroll to join their Canadian team in Kamloops, BC. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is passionate about supporting a diverse workforce across multiple locations.The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting employees and management through a broad range of HR functions. This includes full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance reporting. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, highly organized, and comfortable working independently within a collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for seasonal and permanent roles across Canadian locations
  • Coordinate onboarding processes, ensuring completion of employment documentation and policy acknowledgments
Employee Relations & HR Administration
  • Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries and relations
  • Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files
  • Prepare employee communications, letters, and other documentation
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
  • Administer Canadian health benefits and Group Registered Savings Plan (GRSP)
  • Manage benefit enrollments, updates, and annual reconciliations
  • Support payroll processing and CRA-related filings for seasonal employees
Training & Compliance
  • Conduct HR audits and compliance reporting, including Worker's Compensation submissions
  • Coordinate and deliver training on HR policies and benefits, both virtually and in-person
  • Develop training materials tailored to session topics and audiences
Requirements:Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience
  • Experience in recruitment, payroll processing, and benefits administration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
