Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Reporting to the Manager – Client Onboarding Services, the Regulatory Data Analyst position plays a key role in supporting the KYC Operation, data management strategy and goals for RBC Capital Markets, specifically around Regulatory data onboarding. As part of an evolving and maturing data management function, this role is responsible for the accuracy, management and maintenance of the regulatory counterparty data.The Regulatory Data Analyst will have an in depth knowledge of internal systems specifically the Counterparty Data Repository (CDR) and Fenergo, and will have a sound Counterparty and Regulatory data knowledge base. You are responsible to ensure the operational processes within the Regulatory Team are present, are followed and ensure the Regulatory data within CDR is accurate and well maintained. You will support other team members as appropriate and ensure agreed upon SLAs are met. The Regulatory Data Analyst will assist and support regulatory initiatives within Client Lifecycle Management(CLM) Team and build strong relationships with stakeholders and business partners.What will you do?Support the operational processes that ensure the content of CDR meets business, data quality, and regulatory requirements and standardsInterface and build strong relationships with internal clients and external vendors as they relate to Regulatory Counterparty Data ManagementReview and process Regulatory documents in scope of CFTC and SBSD to ensure it is captured and reflected in CDR and FenergoSupport regulatory initiatives and data analysisExecute UAT testing activities when requiredSupport the capture, measure, and report metrics on the dimensions of data quality that support business defined objectivesSupport the daily activities/tasks and maintain the Regulatory InboxSupport the daily activities/tasks and maintain the Regulatory Margin mailboxWhat you need to succeed?Must Have'sPost-secondary education in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related fieldSolid knowledge of the counterparty and regulatory domain and an understanding of how the counterparty data management function intersects with other areas in Operations and RBC Capital MarketsClient onboarding experience (asset)Experience with data management concepts of data matching, cleansing, exception management and reportingExpertise in analyzing counterparty reference data sets; must possess advance Excel knowledgeWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
