- Develop and maintain short and long term mine plans and schedules.
- Support ventilation design and monitoring to ensure safe working conditions.
- Contribute to ground control strategies and implementation.
- Conduct and oversee surveying activities to support production and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address engineering challenges.
- Supervise and support a small team of technical staff, fostering collaboration and performance.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to ensure that production designs are adequate for the complex orebody.
- Promote a safety-first culture in all aspects of engineering and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in geological, geotechnical or mine engineering
- Seven to 12 years of progressive experience in hard rock and/or underground mine engineering
- Eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation
- Demonstrated expertise in mine design software, particularly Deswik, with a strong background in drilling and blasting design. This includes experience reviewing and validating others' work, as well as training team members in effective drilling and blast design practices.
- Extensive experience with mine scheduling software, particularly Deswik, including the development of short-, medium-, and long-term schedules. Proven ability to train and support others in building effective and practical mine schedules.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and complex projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
- Long hole mining experience, particularly in high-grade or challenging environments
- Ventilation experience with Ventilation on Demand (VOD) systems.

Salary Range: $142,000 - $177,000Safety Sensitive SitePreference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan's North (RSN).The McArthur River operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.The physical and psychological safety of our employees is a top priority at Cameco.
