- Organizing ICT training services across the province through outreach and response. Training will be delivered virtually and in-person
- Reviewing and adjusting processes, templates, and training materials
- Adapting, designing, and implementing training curriculum in a variety of settings including in person and virtually
- Maintaining expertise in training content areas including diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Supporting others in delivering ICT materials and presentations
- Scheduling trainings, ensuring that materials are provided, and logistics are confirmed
- Reporting on training services
- Managing, creating, and continuously updating program communication documents
- Acting as a primary point of communication for questions and inquiries about the training services internally and externally
- Ensure evaluations are conducted and feedback is collected and program reporting
- Gathered accurate information about needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Professionally and proactively deescalate conflict situations
- Operational tasks are in important part of program delivery as it relates directly to maintaining current and accurate records, and program spending.
- Referrals for AIP settlement plans
- Cultivating, building, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Education and/or experience in intercultural communication, adult education, or a related field
- Strong understanding of intercultural learning concepts
- Ability to apply adult, experiential learning principles
- Strong facilitation skills and comfort with flexible and fluid training situations
- Knowledge of immigration, relocation, migration, or global mobility with strong cultural awareness skills. Personal relocation or migration experience would be an asset
- Awareness of and connection to local settlement sector resources and networks
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) required
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work well and effectively as part of a team, while being able to take initiative and work independently
- Creative approaches to training design, for both in person and in virtual settings, with front line staff to executive leadership
- Experience facilitating and coordinating meetings with various diverse functional groups and stakeholders in person and online (web-based, or video conferencing)
- Exceptional interpersonal, intercultural, and relationship building skills including effective verbal/written communication skills
- Schedule flexibility to accommodate variations outside of regular business hours, as needed
- Valid Nova Scotia Drivers license or reliable means of transportation within the province
- Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Child Abuse Register Check (less than 6 months old), if 18 years of age or older
- Attend Child Safeguarding Training upon hire
