To assist with the provision of patient care and the efficient operation of the unit/area under the direction of a health care professional.**This position will float within the Medicine Units-MSSU, TCU & ISUEducation:
  • Completed a recognized program for personal support worker
  • Current Basic Rescuer Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life support or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hiring
  • Member of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) and/or Personal Support Network of Ontario (PSNO) an asset
Experience:
  • Previous patient care experience in health care environment or health related community work, preferred
