- Perform full-cycle accounting for the company and related entities
- Record general ledger entries and reconcile G/L accounts regularly
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and monthly job cost reports
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Manage accounts payable; ensure timely and accurate payment processing
- Review and process construction progress draws and track costs against budgets
- Prepare and process staff and shareholder expense reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
- Complete GST and other statutory filings as required
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Update and maintain cash flow projections for active properties
- Review property management reports and compare against leases and operating budgets
- Review lease documents and update lease abstracts
- Support financial reporting and accounting for related companies and shareholder businesses
- Coordinate with property managers to resolve accounting discrepancies and support operational needs
- Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external accountants as needed
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for accounting and corporate records
- Manage incoming/outgoing mail, email communications, and deliveries
- Monitor office supplies and equipment, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Support administrative processes for related entities, ensuring coordination and consistency
- Help facilitate intercompany communications and special projects
- Liaise professionally with internal teams, external vendors, and service providers
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate development or property management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, and/or Sage preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret lease agreements and financial documents
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, dependable, and capable of working independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mandarin language skills are considered a strong asset
