Director of Finance - Permanent

• Oversee Accounting team to ensure accuracy and submissions in a timely manner, providing support as needed
• Management of General Ledger and related duties
• Preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Statements, Financial reporting
• Submission of tax remittances
• Coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain planning and control procedures and analyze report variances
• Risk Analysis and ad hoc analysis as needed
• Preparing Month and Year End closing, ensure transactions are complete, accurate, and properly documented
• Liaising with auditors, take an active role in internal and external Audit, providing required reporting
• Ensuring compliance as well as implementation of policies and procedures, monitoring for accurate and successful execution
• Provide mentorship and development for Accounting team through thoughtful evaluation
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and presenting financial reports
• Provide contributions and recommendations regarding financial aspects of the business, communicating with Senior Management on financial variances and strategies, including developing long-term growth models
• Participate in other active projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

• Active CPA Designation in good standing
• 7+ years of recent experience within a similar role for a medium-to-large organization- Construction industry a strong asset
• 3+ years of leadership of an accounting team
• Strong oral, written, and communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative- able to work with all levels of staff
