Working closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners, you'll help manage active and pipeline loans, maintain detailed loan records, and ensure the timely flow of critical documentation. This is a dynamic position that combines operational rigour with cross-functional collaboration and offers room for growth in the real estate lending space.What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist with loan closings by preparing checklists, agendas, and coordinating third-party reports
- Liaise with legal counsel, consultants, and capital partners to ensure smooth execution
- Review due diligence documentation, including AML / KYC files and security packages
- Oversee loan servicing functions such as interest payment processing, construction draws, and monthly statements
- Maintain accurate loan data in the internal debt management system (Yardi)
- Monitor key compliance items (e.g., insurance renewals, property taxes, financial reporting)
- Support the preparation of loan reviews, investor presentations, and credit memos
- Contribute to market research and underwriting on an ad hoc basis
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements
- 2-5 years of experience in loan administration, servicing, or underwriting within commercial real estate lending or commercial banking
- Familiarity with legal documentation and mortgage structures (land, construction, bridge, and inventory loans)
- High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with Yardi and Power BI is an asset
- University degree in a related field (e.g. business, finance, real estate)
