
Technical Alignment Lead

Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of alignment for development, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and solutions delivery teams
- Deliver technical readiness for new features, enhancements, and projects, ensuring feasibility across all technical domains
- Work with Solution Architects to identify all technical teams required to deliver solutions and coordinate the addition of tasks from all domains into a work breakdown structure
- Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs affecting delivery
- Refine, prioritize, and manage technical items in the product backlog in collaboration with Business Analysts and delivery teams
- Support development teams by clarifying technical direction, requirements, and architectural constraints
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet strategic goals and operational realities
- Drive consistency with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and operational practices
- Facilitate cross-functional conversations to resolve blockers, close gaps, and achieve shared outcomes
- Assist in roadmap planning by surfacing system impacts, technical debt, scaling considerations, and delivery risks
- Participate in solution design peer reviews, technical governance forums, and architecture reviews
- Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment pipelines and operations readiness
- Analyze and resolve technical issues during design, build, and deployment phases
- Prepare and contribute to key project artifacts such as risk analyses, estimates, deployment plans, and lessons learned
- Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply with and promote the Company Safety Policy.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience (formal or informal)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience developing object-oriented web applications (preferably in .NET)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of full-stack development, architecture, and system integration
- Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Skilled in creating and refining technical backlogs and coordinating with cross-functional delivery teams
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with project management and backlog tools such as JIRA
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and CI/CD principles
- Experience preparing technical documentation and guiding deployment activities
- Aviation experience is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented and service-oriented architecture
- Full-stack development experience across all phases of the SDLC
- Expertise in SQL Server (design, T-SQL, indexing, optimization)
- Experience with API design and integration
- Familiarity with source control (Bitbucket, Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of unit testing principles and automated testing frameworks
- Ability to prepare user guides, deployment documentation, and technical artifacts
- Cloud development experience, preferably AWS
- Experience with mobile app development (iOS and Android)
- Experience developing accessible websites following WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards
- UI/UX design experience
