We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Project Manager to lead and manage end to end PeopleSoft implementation, upgrade, enhancement, and support projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise combined with hands on functional and technical knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP modules, and proven experience delivering complex enterprise programs on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities
- Lead PeopleSoft projects including implementations, upgrades (e.g., PeopleSoft 9.x), rollouts, and support initiatives.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and success criteria.
- Manage cross functional teams including functional consultants, technical developers, DBAs, and third party vendors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, business owners, and IT leadership.
- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and governance artifacts.
- Manage project financials including budget tracking, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Ensure adherence to PeopleSoft best practices, PMO standards, and enterprise governance.
- Oversee testing phases including SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and deployment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, manage dependencies, and escalate issues proactively.
- Support change management, user communications, and training initiatives.
- Ensure smooth transition to post production support and operational handover.
Project Management
- 8+ years of enterprise project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Hybrid delivery models.
- Proven experience managing large, complex ERP programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Hands on experience managing PeopleSoft projects across one or more modules:
- HCM (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor)
- Financials (GL, AP, AR, Asset Management)
- Campus Solutions (Student Records, Financial Aid)
- Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades and patching (PUM, tools upgrades)
- Exposure to PeopleSoft Fluid UI, integrations, and bolt ons.
- Experience with PMO reporting, steering committees, and executive governance.
- Risk, issue, dependency, and change request management.
- Vendor and third party coordination.
