As the Control Room Management, Control Centre Specialist, you'll lead and continuously elevate our Control Room Management (CRM) Program, setting the standard for alarm performance, competency, fatigue, information, and quality managementIn this highly visible role, you'll mentor a team, translate industry standards into practical performance, and build meaningful KPIs that drive safer, smarter operations. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry partners to help develop and implement best practices, represent Control Centre interests in projects and incident reviews, and identify opportunities to modernize how we work through new technologies and better data-so our controllers have the right information at the right time, every time.If you're energized by high impact decision-making, passionate about operational excellence, and motivated to shape the future of control room performance alongside industry leaders, we invite you to bring your expertise to ATCO and make a difference where it matters most.What You'll Do:Evolve, implement, optimize and maintain the Control Room Management Program, inclusive of its subprograms:Alarm ManagementCompetency ManagementFatigue ManagementInformation ManagementQuality ManagementProvide leadership, mentorship and guide a team of individuals who support the CRM ProgramDevelop and report on Key Performance Indicators to monitor the success of the CRM Program, in relation to industry best practice and published standardsProvide recommendations and implement improvements to further the effectiveness of the CRM ProgramIdentify opportunities to further advance the CRM program, through the utilization of modern technologiesSupport the Supervisor, Control Center and Manager, Control Center & Emergency Communications as required to represent the Control Center interests both internally and externallyProvides support to Control Centre Specialist, System Operations as required to ensure continuity of operationsCollaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholder groupsParticipate in meetings, on committees, and in incident reviews to represent Control Center as requiredAbility to support a 24/7 workgroup outside of business hours when requiredAssumes the role of subject matter expert for any CRM-related inquiriesWhat You'll Bring:Two (2) year post-secondary diploma or high school diploma (or GED) supplemented with a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible natural gas industry related experience.Designation as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) is preferred.Control Room experience is preferred.Aptitude for technology, with strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, specifically Teams and SharePoint, with the ability to learn new applications as requiredCommitment to demonstrating ATCO's values of safety, integrity, agility, caring, and collaboration.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated ability to evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate work while adhering to safety, policy, and best practice.Experience working under tight deadlines, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely mannerExcellent communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to assist in the writing of reporting documents for internal management and facilitating operational meetings.Passion for learning, initiative, and responsible work habits.
