- College diploma in Human Services Field
- Minimum 3 years experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and/or concurrent mental health issues
- Understanding of the etiological factors that contribute to addictions and mental health
- Demonstrated screening, intake, brief assessment, and treatment planning skills with a variety of age groups
- Experience in utilizing variety of counselling and psychotherapeutic tools, both individually and in group format, including prescriptive programs, problem solving, emotional regulation, techniques for coping with anxiety and stress, social skill development, milieu therapy, fostering life skills, crisis intervention, and coping with acute situations
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with team members and community partners
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
- Valid driver's license and access to own transportation
- Functional level in both official languages (oral and written in English; oral in French) - and testing completed
- Knowledge of community resources
