Job Description:We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Windsor, Ontario. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to deliver precise financial analyses, insightful reporting, and data-driven recommendations that support organizational goals. This position requires advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data visualization, and the ability to present findings effectively to senior leaders.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Build and refine complex financial models to aid in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Evaluate financial performance against set budgets and forecasts, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, schedules, and ad-hoc analyses using advanced Excel techniques, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and macros.
  • Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate financial trends, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Conduct financial assessments for business cases, pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Finance, Operations, and Sales, to ensure alignment on financial objectives.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data while adhering to internal controls and company policies.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities with thorough financial reviews and reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or a related field.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and Power Query.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed and well-organized presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, data mining techniques, and KPI reporting.
  • Ability to perform ad-hoc financial analyses and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with business systems and financial tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams.
