Position Type: Contract, 6 MonthsLocation: TorontoCompensation Range: 47$/hr to 55$/hrOur Fortune 500 client is seeking a Bilingual Tax Analyst III.Experience preparing and reviewing QC & Federal (TP-1 & T1)Responsibilities:
  • Identify, analyze, and accurately update tax calculations and forms within the software by creating a detailed specification for engineers.
  • Test tax calculations/user experience/form display changes within the software.
  • Apply tax, accounting and business knowledge to develop/improve new software features.
  • Work with federal/provincial tax authorities to certify our tax products.
  • Participate in the development and documentation of key operational processes and checklists, and product specifications.
  • Work with customer support representatives to resolve customer issues and deal directly with clients, as needed.
  • Continually assess and drive process and tool improvements.
  • Able to effectively prioritize individual and team work to ensure delivery of product features with the highest quality and customer value.
Qualifications (Experience and Training):
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) is a must
  • Experience preparing and reviewing federal and provincial tax returns, such as T1/TP-1
  • Strong background in tax research and analysis and a deep understanding of Canadian tax law.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information and complex tax issues in non-technical language for consumption inside and outside of the organization
  • Comprehensive understanding and use of tax preparation software (experience using TaxCycle, TaxPrep and ProFile is an asset).
  • Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Prior programming/coding experience is a strong asset
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM and IT project management
