We are hiring an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis to support a project our client is working on. While this is a project-based contract, there is a possibility of a permanent hire for the right candidate.Salary: $40-$50/hr Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical drawings for HVAC systems on marine vessels, including power distribution, local control panels, and single-line diagrams
Produce and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings using CAD software
Ensure all designs meet marine standards, customer technical specifications, safety regulations (e.g., SOLAS), and classification society requirements (ABS, Lloyd’s, DNV)
Collaborate with project managers, customer technical representatives, and third-party equipment suppliers to support system integration
Maintain accurate documentation and drawing records throughout the project lifecycle
Identify and resolve technical issues during design and implementation phases
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
EIT certification or eligibility
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
