- Job Description
- Participate in all phases of project planning, design, construction, and commissioning of municipal water projects.
- Be supported by technical experts from multiple disciplines in our Water group including structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil to successfully deliver projects.
- Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations.
- Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors.
- Mentor other staff on fundamentals of project delivery and general project management skills.
- Assist with proposal preparation for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Participate in site inspections for condition assessment and/or design purposes.
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
- 5+ years of directly applicable water and wastewater experience in working with municipal clients in engineering or project management roles, with a focus on BC clients.
- Broad and extensive technical deign, administrative and project experience within consulting companies, specifically in municipal water /wastewater systems (distribution, conveyance, treatment, pumping, etc.).
- Strong water & wastewater technical background, including extensive knowledge of all project phases (including conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration).
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, business development and client liaison experience.
- Excellent, innovative, and practical customer service and a commitment to technical excellence.
- Ability to solve problems, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
