- Prepare suppression design drawings and specifications.
- Prepare technical reports and studies on fire protection systems.
- Participate in onsite engineering tests and site reviews.
- Coordinate with other disciplines in planning and executing project tasks.
- Represent the fire protection discipline within AtkinsRéalis in the development of external clients.
- Lead and mentor fire protection and other discipline members through complex problems in the field of fire protection engineering.
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes or services.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or diploma in fire protection engineering technology or related field. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or certification from a recognized engineering association is an asset.
- 5-10 years of experience in fire protection engineering. Experience in the nuclear field of fire protection engineering an asset (CSA N293, N393) and knowledge of NBCC, NFCC, provincial codes, various fire protection standards (UL, NFPA, CSA).
- UL Solutions Integrated System Testing Certification (CAN/ULC-S1001) an asset.
- Ability to design fire protection systems in Revit (AutoSprink RVT) or CAD (HydraCAD).
- Submit for and maintain a federal security clearance and valid driving permit.
