- Spearhead revenue growth by sourcing, pursuing, and securing new business through referrals, inbound leads, and personal networks.
- Take full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and oversee the execution of planning strategies.
- Continuously build and refine sales expertise and the ability to craft effective client solutions.
- Help drive innovation in services and offerings to maintain market leadership.
- Represent the firm at industry and client events, enhancing brand visibility and credibility.
- Offer technical support and leadership, encouraging the team's skill growth and focus on exceptional client service.
- Navigate competing priorities with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Identify ways to expand existing client relationships by understanding their shifting financial and business priorities.
- Collaborate across internal and external teams to build and implement best-in-class solutions.
- Leverage professional networks and partnerships with advisors to generate qualified leads.
- Deliver compelling presentations to key stakeholders, including accountants, COIs, family offices, and CFOs.
- Follow up rigorously on business development efforts to ensure effective conversion and engagement.
- Work closely with clients and their advisory teams to understand their unique goals, business contexts, and financial positions.
- Co-create tailored planning strategies and solutions aligned with their long-term needs.
- Lead the coordination and implementation of these plans, managing collaboration across all stakeholders.
- Conduct strategic reviews with clients to ensure continued alignment, service excellence, and evolving relevance.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or professional advisory, with a strong record in business development.
- Professional designations such as CPA, CFA, CLU, TEP, or legal experience in corporate structuring or completion of the In-Depth Tax Course are advantageous.
- Familiarity with Canada's insurance industry, estate planning, banking, and financial structuring.
- Direct experience managing client portfolios and delivering consultative, high-touch service.
- Complete understanding of the corporate and personal tax/accounting cycle.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical and planning concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Deep technical acumen and familiarity with tools, systems, and best practices relevant to the planning and insurance space.
- Relationship-focused approach, able to connect with clients, partners, and internal teams alike.
