? Employment Type: Temporary (until permanent position is filled)Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Clerk 3 (ADM04) to join our Public Works team. This role provides essential administrative and operational support, requiring strong judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently. The successful candidate will work under general supervision while managing responsibilities that may involve interpreting and applying policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities
- Process accounting transactions and manage SAP-related activities
- Handle and issue access permits accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and guide clerical or administrative staff when required
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth workflow
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements and reports
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Verify and process documents following established procedures
- Manage inventory tracking and control systems
- Coordinate inter-office mail and communications
- Resolve administrative issues and discrepancies using sound judgment
- Completion of Grade XI (or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience with SAP or similar financial systems is an asset
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Office-based role within the Public Works department
- May include supervisory responsibilities
