Location: Greater Toronto Area preferred | Remote U.S. considered (contract Only)
Type: Full-Time – onsite preferred but negotiable – preference is for candidates to be in the office 2-3 times a week initially for "forming and norming " stages.About the OpportunityOur client is a post-revenue construction technology company operating in a startup-within-a-startup environment. With an established customer base and a sub-$1M ARR footprint, the company is rebuilding its platform and go-to-market strategy with an AI-first approach.This is not a mature enterprise sales role. It's an opportunity for someone who wants to help build the sales motion, not just execute an existing playbook.The RoleThe Account Executive will own the full sales cycle, selling an annual SaaS solution to general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers. The sales motion is consultative and relationship-driven, often replacing Excel/email workflows or over-engineered platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn deals from discovery through closeConduct consultative sales conversations focused on workflow problemsClose new logo business and drive upsell / cross-sell opportunitiesWork closely with Sales Engineering and ProductOperate effectively in an evolving, early-stage environmentWhat We're Looking ForExperience selling construction software or adjacent SaaS solutionsProven closing ability (earlier-career profiles encouraged)Strong discovery and objection-handling skillsComfort with ambiguity and limited structureHigh ownership mindset and genuine interest in building somethingCompensationBase salary: $75,000–$85,000 CADOTE: $120,000–$150,000 CAD (capped)Commission: 13–15% one-time commission on new dealsUpsell and cross-sell commissions includedQuota: ~3× OTE in year one, increasing over timeWhy Consider This RoleDirect impact on revenue and strategyVisibility with leadershipReal upside without enterprise bureaucracyEquity participation available after three years
