The School of Trades and Technology is looking for a permanent Trades Shop Technician in the Carpentry program.The Carpentry Technician will provide self-directed technical support for the day-to-day operations of the Carpentry Trade. The successful candidate must be able to troubleshoot, solve problems, and repair tools and equipment under tight timelines. He or she will be required to support students and instructors in the School of Trades and Technology through the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment as well as the installation, testing, and calibration of equipment. This position will also support related activities throughout the School of Trades and Technology when required. This position is a permanent position and is required 5 days per week (35 hours).Red Deer Polytechnic’s School of Trades and Technology is a multidisciplinary school committed to innovation, applied learning, and student success across a broad spectrum of programs.
