This role offers a breadth of accountabilities and responsibilities, and the successful candidate will be a self-starter ready to roll up their sleeves and wear a variety of hats, with ambitions to build on a career in compensation spanning across both the executive and broad-based compensation practices.
How you'll make an impact
- Conduct analysis on large and complex data to deliver actionable and relevant insights that support informed compensation recommendations and solutions to clients based on external market benchmarking
- Manage multiple projects including development and maintenance of project plans, allocation and review of work for other analysts, keeping clients up to date on project status, etc.
- Interface and serve as a primary point of contact leading client meetings, calls, and presentations to gather and provide data and information
- Design and/or support job evaluation processes and tools, including conducting job evaluations and contributing to process improvements
- Conduct pay equity assessments and analysis (Federal and Provincial) to support client’s pay equity compliance strategy
- Prepare presentations and reports that summarize analysis, observations and recommendations both graphically and non-graphically, to be presented to boards of directors, executives, senior management, and HR leaders
- Monitor and analyze market trends, ensuring we keep our clients informed and competitive. This will include research on industry and organization-specific issues including business strategy, compensation and total rewards and best practices in talent management
- Proactively participate in team brainstorming sessions to contribute to the development of the Compensation Consulting practice

- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance/Math or other related areas
- Minimum 3 years of related experience, ideally within the Compensation field, including in-house or consulting services experience
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to analyze, interpret and draw conclusions from data
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation capabilities
- Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or evolving client needs
- An understanding of various Compensation Programs – Short/Long Term Incentive Design, Job Evaluation, Pay Structures, Pay Equity, Board Governance etc.
- Great teammate; however, also able to effectively work independently
