Our client is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee the financial and administrative operations of around twenty companies, with opportunities for career growth and increased responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee accounting operations and year-end audits
- Manage payroll, benefits, and company RRSPs
- Prepare tax filings and government reports
- Handle month end, journal entries
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Adjust entries, accruals, amortization, prepaids
- Analyze assets (A/R, inventories, equipment)- Prepare year-end audit filesQualifications:- Bachelor's degree, accounting certificate or DEC in accounting
- 5 year of relevant accounting experience in a multi-entity environment
- Strong Excel skills
- Detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to prioritize tasks
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaborativelyBenefits:- Company RRSP
