
Paving Labourer

- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends on various schedules.

- Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials; move tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas.
- Work on a wide variety of buildings, structures and premises including municipal sewer and water mains, roads, dams and bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.
- Remove rubble and other debris.
- Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
- Dig ditches and trenches using shovels and other hand tools.
- Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades at construction sites.
- Prepare and clean up construction sites, move materials and equipment, and perform demolition, excavation and compaction activities.

- Work on a wide variety of buildings, structures and premises including municipal sewer and water mains, roads, dams and bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, grease, fumes, odors, oil, asphalt, and toxic and flammable substances.
- Required to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- 1 to 2 years of industrial or civil construction or equivalent experience required.
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 09 or 2020), WHMIS 2015, and ground disturbance 201 are required.
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
- You have experience in using compactors, and trampers. (jumping jack)
- Ability to work a minimum 12-hour day.
- Must have the ability to work at heights.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 90 lbs on a regular basis.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
- Must comply with all company policies.
- Able to work under pressure.
- You have a safety conscious attitude and able to work with others in a team.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills required.
- A successful pre-access drug and Alcohol test may be required depending on the project.
