- Participates in care planning, assessments, interventions, and evaluations
- Documents information and advocates for patients/residents
- Attends various meetings including care conferences
- Assists with orientation of new staff and students
- Responds to and reports incidents following established procedures
- Performs clerical duties as required
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
- Current basic cardiac life support certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures appropriate for the area of service
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to apply decision making and analytical skills
- Ability to role model conflict resolution strategies
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to teach and identify patient/resident learning needs
- Competitive salary: $32.84 - $41.35 CAD per hour, depending on experience

- Provide safe and respectful nursing care, adhering to established policies, individualized care plans, and priorities.
- Conduct thorough assessments, monitor signs/symptoms, and communicate with the RN/RPN as needed.
- Prepare patients for procedures, transfers, and admissions, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications per protocol, monitor effects, and maintain communication with the team.
- Utilize evidence-based resources to stay updated on nursing practices.
- Respond to incidents such as codes, injuries, spills, and alarms, following procedures.
- Assist with staff orientation, demonstrating procedures and providing support.
- Address patient/resident and family learning needs, provide educational materials, and make referrals.
- Attend care planning meetings, provide input, and advocate for patients/residents.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Assist with discharge planning based on patient status and external supports.
