The E4 – Engineer is a professional engineer or geoscientist who applies engineering knowledge to provide engineering, estimating, planning, and quality management services for medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.What you will be doing:
The successful candidate with act in the role of Distribution Asset Sustainment Structural Program Engineer. Duties will include but not be limited to:Review of Structural Inspection results on Maintenance Holes, Vaults, and other distribution system structural componentsReview 3rd Party Structural Assessments on the same,Prioritize and take action to address high priority defects on the same.Work with Program and Contract Management, Distribution Engineering and Distribution Design on solutioning remediation of identified high priority defects.Support annual work planning and prioritization for structural inspections, repairs and replacementsRespond to questions and provide advice on the current Structural Inspection and Maintenance StandardsIssues signed and sealed memos and bulletins on specific structural asset issues requiring actions or cautions by field crews, if requiredReview and sign off on deferral of inspections, asset repairs and replacements if risks to defer are low to moderateEscalate high risk issues where delivery of work is delayed due to various causes such as permitting and access issues.Work with other Program Engineers to coordinate Structural inspections, repairs and replacements with Electrical related work.What you must have:Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or with another jurisdiction and eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BCThe company uses a Digital Sign and Seal Technology. You may be required to subscribe to a digital seal technology service offered by NotariusIntermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spokenFamiliarity with CAD systems and drawing standardsAbility to use standard industry design/analysis softwareIntermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Salary/Rate Range: $77.00 -$95.00 per hourTerm: 4-month contract; most likely to extendThank you for your interest in this opportunity.
