- Design and develop mechanical assemblies and components for base platforms and payloads
- Support projects across the full product lifecycle-from concept and design through testing and in-service support
- Perform engineering analysis, simulations, modeling, and troubleshooting to validate and optimize designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical, schedule, and budget objectives
- Lead small to medium-sized design projects or work packages
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including design methodologies and technical reports
- Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation (as authorized)
- Contribute to cost estimates for new products, modifications, and services
- Present technical information to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide informal mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 4-10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
- Membership in APEGA, or eligibility for registration
- Experience working in custom design and/or manufacturing environments
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience with small- to large-scale vehicle systems, including autonomous or uncrewed platforms
- Exposure to regulated or safety-focused industries
- Familiarity with harsh or marine operating environments
- Experience with 3D modeling, FEA, and CFD tools
- Proficiency or exposure to tools such as Autodesk Inventor, STAR-CCM+, Nastran, or MATLAB
- Experience with change management, project coordination, or technical documentation
- Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
- Eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Level 2 Security Clearance
- This is a safety-sensitive role and may include work on the factory floor, testing activities, field deployments, and work near operational equipment
