- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior procurement position.
- SCMP Designation through SCMA and Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or relevant experience preferred.
- A self-starter with a strategic approach to procurement, who drives change and innovation by working collaboratively and creatively with others across the company.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and apply good business acumen to make decisions and provide advice.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and executive leaders.

- Strong legal contract and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands.
- Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Draft, review and negotiate general supplier agreements/contracts and service provider terms and conditions for the company, its operating business units, IT, and capital projects.
- Provide advice to the procurement and capital teams across the company on vendor transactions.
- Provide guidance and expertise as part of competitive bid and procurement processes for capital projects, as well as supplier negotiations, analysis, and onboarding processes.
- Assist the procurement department in managing vendor contracts to ensure the company is abiding by agreements, preventing maverick spend, and leveraging maximum benefits from the negotiated agreements.
- Manage the dispute resolution and claims process with suppliers.
- Assist with the litigation process to reduce reliance on external legal providers and provide recommendations to mitigate future risks of litigation.
- Advise on and assist in developing, implementing, and updating the Company’s Procurement Policy and Procedures and Procurement Contracts Standards.
- Bring your ideas, changes and improvements to Contract Management in order to:
- Implement and maintain effective contract management processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with contract lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain a centralized repository for contracts and related documentation.
- Assist in developing the strategic use of contract management/tracking and the procurement function related to these contracts and agreements.
