Well, Executive Aviation is looking for a full-time GSE Mechanic to work on our Ground Service Equipment, based at the Kelowna Airport (YLW).This person would enjoy working alongside our full-time GSE Technician, would report directly to the General Manager in Kelowna, with direction from the Western Regional Support Technician. They would coordinate and complete all PMI objectives as well as prioritizing, diagnosing, and fixing GSE or vehicle repairs for the base, or other bases as needed. This person would be expected to travel for PMI or maintenance repairs to bases in our network and have on-call responsibilities.The RolePerform preventative and corrective maintenance of all systems associated with work equipment (mechanical, electrical and hydraulic)Evaluate parts for reuse, repair or replacementUse various hand and power toolsOperates equipment such as overhead or mobile cranes and forklifts to assist in assignmentsInvestigate and locate equipment problems and take corrective action in order to minimize the impact on crew productionAdapts to new methods, processes, material and equipmentPrepare and submit equipment maintenance records, time sheets, etc.Follows prescribed safety procedures including the use of safety clothing and equipmentDiagnose equipment problems and determine repair needs; determine priority repairs with guidance from the lead handOn call responsibilitiesLegally able to travel outside of the country, if neededQualificationsLicensed Technician/ ApprenticeOn call availabilityMust be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of timeA physical ability to consistently lift up to 70lbs/32kgsMust be willing to work outside in all types of weatherAn ability to meet all conditions of employment:Restricted Area pass issued by Transport CanadaA criminal background checkHold a valid driver’s licenseApplyApply for this positionRequired*First Name*Last Name*Email Address*Phone*AddressResume*We've received your resume.
