- Collaborate with the Mining Department to optimize the extraction of mineral reserves.
- Supervise the collection and validation of geological data such as mapping, sampling methods, and drill hole logging.
- Ensure continued improvement of spatial, volumetric and grade reconciliation to the mine-to-mill production process.
- Oversee the planning and execution of Ore Control and Mineral Resource Growth drilling programs.
- Generate and submit budgets, forecasts, and schedules.
- Developing and presenting work program proposals.
- Design high-quality diamond drill hole plans utilizing industry best practice standards.
- Oversee core logging practices and reporting drilling program results, including quantifying program success.
- Generation of new targets for additions to support the mineral resource growth and LOM.
- Exposure to a wide variety of exploration, geology, data analysis, and grade estimation scenarios with opportunities for increased responsibilities and career growth
- Contribute to evolving and progressing of interpretations and modeling of the controls on gold mineralization.
- Supervision of surface and underground geological mapping.
- Other geology and supervisor duties as assigned.
- Audit and optimize technical procedures with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Geoscientist in the province of Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years' experience underground mining operations, several of which in a Supervisory or Lead role. Surface or Exploration program experience
- Advanced knowledge of geological principles and ore deposit models. Experience in Archean gold systems typical of the Canadian Shield would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with mining and database software. Experience with Vulcan, Deswik, and Leapfrog would be considered an asset.
- Prioritization, organization, planning, scheduling and forecasting skills and experience.
- Strong presentation and verbal skills. Able to communicate ideas and recommendations in both written and verbal forms across all levels of the organization in a clear manner.
- Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
