- Initiative Leadership: Lead the execution of large-scale, high-complexity transformation projects, maximizing business impact and ROI through relentless drive for results
- Operational Diagnostics: Spearhead operations diagnostics to identify bottlenecks, waste, and high-value opportunities for improvement as well as automation or AI integration.
- Enterprise Change Implementation: Act as a senior change agent, managing complex stakeholder landscapes to drive the adoption of new operating models and digital tools across multiple business units.
- High-Impact Process Re-engineering: Lead the design of future-state operations using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to maximize efficiency and minimize risk
- Strategic Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with senior leaders in Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure transformation initiatives meet operational needs as well as enterprise standards.
- Governance & Velocity: Maintain rigorous oversight over all project outcomes; proactively identify and resolve all blockers to maintain a high pace of change.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Direct and mentor a team of transformation professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and career growth.
- Education: Bachelor’s degrees in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in operations, banking, or management consulting, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern operational methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile), and practical experience leading a team to achieve operational and technological improvements.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the Canadian financial services industry.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, influence, and negotiate effectively with executive stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Strategic Project Management: Expert-level ability to manage complex project portfolios and maintain momentum in high-pressure environments.
- Executive Influence: Proven ability to navigate organizational politics and negotiate effectively with senior leadership to drive change.
- Operational Excellence: Mastery of process optimization (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) with a track record of driving high-impact outcomes and efficiency gains.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong capability in data-driven diagnostics and identifying root causes of operational friction.
- Technological Knowledge: Strong understanding of technologies relevant to financial services operations and the ability to drive tactical improvements in this environment.
- Team Development: Ability to lead, mentor and motivate high-performing teams to deliver on project outcomes, and develop our future leaders.
- Base salary range: $150,000 - $180,000
- The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
