- Utilizing company standards and customer inputs, design and process orders ensuring accuracy and sound design principles
- Ensure designs comply with applicable regulations to design high-pressure piping and complex sanitary piping systems
- Create assembly and manufacturing drawing as required
- Partner with controls engineers to ensure seamless marriage of mechanical and electrical control systems
- Design and troubleshoot hydraulic systems
- Generate comprehensive testing plans and reports
- Create custom documentation packages as required (i.e. Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), etc.)
- Provide verbal and written reports to the project manager and production teams
- Demonstrate business acumen and have a strong understanding of the business strategy, expectations and goals
- Partner with suppliers to define and source parts and modules as required
- Support internal and external customers by phone, virtual or in person meetings
- Provide end-to-end leadership for highly customized projects, including planning and execution of factory acceptance testing (FAT) at the manufacturing facility
- Ability to travel to internationally to customer locations or other IDEX facilities.

- No direct reports, but can build followership with peers. Candidate may be required to supervise or lead engineers in the future.
- Must interface effectively and regularly with all departments on a regular basis with an emphasis on supporting the aftermarket and manufacturing teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred)
- 3 – 5 years professional experience
- English
- Complete Microsoft suite of tools
- Solidworks, working skills in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC and WinCC software (asset)
- Knowledge of Schneider PLC (asset)
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn independently and through colleagues, mentors and teammates

- Takes initiative to learn on your own, complete tasks, research concepts and ideas and discuss ideas and concepts with colleagues
- Experience in CE, ATEX, AMSE BPE, cGMP and explosion proof certifications would be an asset
