FCS provides various services across the organization including strategy support, executive and business unit finance support, business analytics, financial planning and analysis, and corporate business initiatives.As the Manager of Operational Excellence, you will report to the Director of Operational Excellence and will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing processes within Fidelity Canada. Your expertise in Lean Six Sigma and pervious financial services exposure will be instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, improving service quality, minimizing risk, and enhancing client outcomes. You will lead a team dedicated to implementing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence.What You Will DoLead and Develop StaffConduct regular coaching sessions with employees, providing direction and feedback, actively manage performance, and proactively address performance concernsCreate a culture of continuous improvement within the Operational Excellence TeamProvide mentorship and coaching to team members and stakeholders on Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.Set goals and work standards for the Operational Excellence TeamConduct annual goal setting by establishing clear and measurable goals, ensuring alignment and support of department strategyWork with HR Business Partners to develop talent management strategies to attract and retain talentDrive employee engagement by supporting and promoting people programs and enabling Fidelity’s cultureOperational Excellence Program ExecutionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational improvements and ensure alignment with organizational and program level goals.Drive projects aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction, reducing cycle times, minimizing risk, and improving service deliveryStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify innovative solutions for process improvementsFacilitate workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceConduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actionsTechnical Knowledge, Innovation, and Change ManagementDevelop and maintain relationships with key resources in Business Analytics, Information Systems, and Operational teamsLeverage current and evolving technologies in support of solutioning, and ideationHarness the available data around the firm and identify gaps where required data does not exist as part of cohesive strategy to use data to drive decision making on process reengineering and efficiencyBusiness Plan ExecutionContribute to the creation of the annual business planning process, by providing strategic insights, anticipating environmental changes for the purposes of future proofing the teamDevelop strategic presentations to obtain buy-in and alignment from the executive team and key stakeholdersDemonstrate strong business judgement with the ability to continue to drive to results despite changing prioritiesMakes decisions within scope while working within Fidelity’s risk management frameworkExpertise You Will BringProven track record in process reengineering and operational excellenceExcellent analytical, root cause analysis and problem resolution skillsDemonstrated ability to drive transformational change and influence key stakeholdersExcellent project and program management skillsOutstanding communication, facilitation and negotiation skillsExperience attracting, retaining and developing strong talentFlexibility, agility with experience collaborating across business verticalsProven leadership experience with a focus on developing and leveraging the capabilities of a high-performing teamWhat We’re Looking ForCompletion of University degree or equivalent experience5 years of relevant experience in operational excellence/continuous improvement3+ years of direct people leadership experienceLean Six Sigma Black Belt is a must havePmP or Project Management experience and Change Management accreditation or exposure is an advantageSome of the ways we’ll help you feel valued and supported as part of our team:Flexible working arrangements - 100% remote, hybrid, and in office optionsCompetitive total compensation, including company contributions to your group RRSP without a matching requirement from youComprehensive health benefits that start on your first day, with 100% employer-paid premiums, that include up to $5000 annually for mental health services and therapyParental leave top-up to 100% of your salary for a period of 25 weeksUp to $650 for home office equipmentGenerous time off policy, including 2 paid days annually to volunteer at a charity of your choiceDiversity and inclusion programs, including an active network of Employee Resource GroupsExtensive professional development opportunities, including access to over 11,000 training and development courses, tuition reimbursement, and monetary rewards for completing a required designationFidelity Canada is an equal opportunity employerFidelity Canada is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
