We build a sense of belonging, so all employees feel respected, safe, and valued, and we provide equal opportunity to participate and grow.We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Operations Supervisor, Global Services, to join our Brink’s Global Services (BGS) Team. They will play a critical part in leading day-to-day operations.
  • Administer the Brink’s Global Services transportation management System (BITS) which includes ensuring input of updated and accurate information, reporting, tracing and tracking shipments and providing a variety of costing analysis.
  • Assist and support the Operations Manager in Supervising and overseeing morning and evening vault operations and day time Airport operations throughout the BGS Network.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Make recommendations for disciplinary action.
  • Promote safety awareness to the employees on an on-going basis.
  • Supervise Global Services Airport Operations which includes directing truck employees, communicating with branches from coast to coast and International affiliates. Prepare nightly activity reports and logs.
  • Ensure Procedures and processes are performed in accordance with the GSR.
  • Liaise with Canada Customs officers and Customs Brokers on a daily basis to ensure that all shipments and their applicable documents meet Canada Customs rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with warehouses and crews to facilitate timely releases.
  • Liaise with other teams and/or exception requests to communicate deviations or status updates.
  • Ensure receipts for all shipments and all shipment documents are accurate and meet time sensitive delivery deadlines.
  • Ensure handheld scanning procedures are adhered to.
Qualifications
  • Action oriented, able to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Minimum high school education or related experience, preferably in a logistics setting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of PC applications.
  • Able to manage conflicts and make accurate logical decisions.
  • Able to set targets, establish priorities and meet goals.
  • Effectively train staff and truck employees as needed.
  • Knowledge of CBSA and custom brokerage process is a plus.
  • Able to lift and handle multiple pieces weighing up to 70 lbs or more.
  • Work effectively alone or in team scenarios.
  • Must be able to work flex hours as required.
  • Must have had a YYZ RAIC and DA.
  • Must have PAL and RPAL.
