The Opportunity:Our client in the education sector is looking for a Network Infrastructure Support Specialist to join their IT team supporting a large, highly distributed enterprise network environment. This organization operates one of the most complex public-sector infrastructures in the region, with secure connectivity across multiple sites, thousands of users, and mission-critical systems that must remain highly available.This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on networking professional who enjoys working on enterprise-scale environments, solving complex connectivity and security challenges, and playing a key role in maintaining reliable, high-performance network services. You will work as part of a collaborative infrastructure team responsible for the design, implementation, and support of core network systems that support both operational and classroom technology.This is a fully in-person role working on critical infrastructure in a stable, well-resourced environment with meaningful impact across the organization.What You'll Be Doing:

Design, implement, and support enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure across a multi-site environment
Configure and maintain core networking systems including switches, routers, firewalls, network access control (NAC), and security appliances
Manage and support network segmentation, VLANs, VPN connectivity, and secure remote access
Maintain and optimize wireless network environments across multiple locations
Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and troubleshoot complex connectivity and security issues
Support virtualized and cloud-connected network environments, including integration with Azure / Microsoft 365 services
Develop network standards, architecture documentation, and technical procedures
Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities with minimal downtime
Work closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to support network and security services
Provide escalation support for advanced network incidents and participate in root-cause analysis
Research emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen performance, scalability, and security

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in a mid-to-large environment
Post-secondary education in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related discipline
Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and network security best practices
Experience with network access control (NAC), VPN, VLANs, and multi-site network architecture
Experience supporting secure, high-availability network environments with multiple locations and large user bases
Familiarity with virtualization, cloud networking, and Microsoft / Azure / O365 integrated environments
Ability to troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple layers of infrastructure
Experience creating technical documentation, standards, and architecture diagrams
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in public sector, education, or other large distributed environments is considered an asset
Comfortable working in a fully on-site role supporting critical network infrastructure

Compensation Expectations: $75,000 - $82,000.
