- Design, implement, and support enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure across a multi-site environment
- Configure and maintain core networking systems including switches, routers, firewalls, network access control (NAC), and security appliances
- Manage and support network segmentation, VLANs, VPN connectivity, and secure remote access
- Maintain and optimize wireless network environments across multiple locations
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and troubleshoot complex connectivity and security issues
- Support virtualized and cloud-connected network environments, including integration with Azure / Microsoft 365 services
- Develop network standards, architecture documentation, and technical procedures
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities with minimal downtime
- Work closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to support network and security services
- Provide escalation support for advanced network incidents and participate in root-cause analysis
- Research emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen performance, scalability, and security
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in a mid-to-large environment
- Post-secondary education in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related discipline
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and network security best practices
- Experience with network access control (NAC), VPN, VLANs, and multi-site network architecture
- Experience supporting secure, high-availability network environments with multiple locations and large user bases
- Familiarity with virtualization, cloud networking, and Microsoft / Azure / O365 integrated environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple layers of infrastructure
- Experience creating technical documentation, standards, and architecture diagrams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in public sector, education, or other large distributed environments is considered an asset
- Comfortable working in a fully on-site role supporting critical network infrastructure
